About Coach Taylor

Taylor McCullagh is a highly skilled functional nutrition professional with a diverse educational background. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Syracuse University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition and Nutrigenomics from Sonoran University. Additionally, she is a registered herbalist, focused on Western herbalism and Ayurveda, with the American Herbalist Guild, and is certified in Permaculture Design. These experiences allow her to confidently weave her passion for nature into her holistic approach to healing.

Taylor was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at just 12 years old, as well as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus a few years later. She faced significant health challenges along her journey. Lacking nutritional and supplemental guidance, she underwent multiple lifesaving procedures and surgeries after the medications available at the time failed her, leading to long hospitalizations and many visits to intensive care. She was reliant on tube feeding, and at times total parenteral nutrition (TPN), to sustain her, but she always had hope that she would be able to put the pieces together and reclaim her life. Fast forward a few years and degrees later, she has used these personal experiences to fuel her passion for a holistic approach to health. Taylor has explored a diverse range of therapies, utilizing both traditional methods and innovative biohacking techniques, to support individuals on their unique healing journeys.

Taylor empowers her clients by providing them with the knowledge and confidence to manage their health through various strategies, including filling their toolbox with approachable nutrition and lifestyle changes that can become longstanding habits over time. She is excited to bring her expertise to the Crohn’s Colitis Lifestyle team as a Private Coach and former Nutrition Professor at IBD University, helping those with IBD around the world.

In addition to her professional work, Taylor is an avid traveler and backpacker, loves to craft and create, and is a home cook with a passion for veggie and herb gardening. She is also happily married, living with her husband and rescue dog in Oregon, but was born and raised on the East Coast. She finds joy and healing in blending the natural world with our everyday life, always doing her best to invite clients to connect with their environments, seasons, and cultural traditions. Taylor is eager to share her knowledge and experiences with the CCL community and beyond!
